Workhorse Retractor System

The Workhorse™ Retractor System delivers simple, multi-directional retraction across a broad range of abdominal procedures. Retractor blades position, readjust and replace quickly, and the range of ring sizes and adjustment components accommodates variation in patient size and approach.

The patented Swivel-Ease™ clamp is what sets the Workhorse apart. Because the clamp swivels and tilts rather than tilting alone, it locks securely to the ring while keeping retractor shafts out of the surgeon’s working space. Swivel-Ease retractor blades self-center against the body wall, reducing the risk of tissue necrosis. Standard non-tilting (18-4048) and tilting (18-4049) blade clamps are also available.

Rings come in oval, round and segmented oval configurations in small, medium and large, supported by standard and bariatric table posts, flex and non-flex horizontal bars, and extension bars. The blade selection spans Kelly, Balfour, malleable, Yu-Holtgrewe, Deaver, Harrington, Meyerding, Richardson, Scoville, rake, rectal, renal, vaginal and splanchnic patterns in stainless steel, aluminum and swivel versions — with a dedicated pediatric blade range in malleable, Mayo and rake styles.
